The culture of our team

Everyone deserves to find an organization whose culture fits with them – their individual personality and values.  We’ve broken Shark Club’s culture into four parts (numbered, but not necessarly in order of importance) so you can easily see if you share our approach to life.

1. Real

“Real” is how we like to describe the relationships we have with everyone connected to Shark Club.

Geting “Real” With Our Team

To attract and keep the best people, Shark Club has made a commitment to be an “Employer of Choice.” This means being real, which means creating a rewarding work environment and an accommodating scheduling system that serves the needs of all kinds of people.

We strive to create career opportunities for team members who show promise and the desire to learn and grow. To help career-minded team members we offer:

  • An exceptional training program. You’ll learn the restaurant business inside-and-out.  Plus you will learn business skills that will benefit you no matter where your career takes you.
  • Our commitment to on-going education. The best example of this is the Shark Club Culinary Education Program. Through this program Shark Club cooks can acquire skills that will make them leaders in the culinary arts.

Keeping It “Real” With Our Guests

Being Real with our guests is a core value that sets us apart from the other guys. Real means prices that provide value, service that is efficient and fun, and, of course, food that not only lives up to our guests’ taste expectations but exceeds it.

Staying “Real” With Our Stakeholders

Shark Club is, of course, a business. At a fundamental level, our primary goal is a high level of long-term profitability.

Being real means operating our business in a way that makes sense for all our stakeholders:

  • Our shareholders who expect a reasonable return on their investment.
  • Our employees who count on us for their pay cheques.
  • Our guests who want us to continue to offer a service they enjoy.

2. FUN…

It can't all be fun and games at Shark Club… But it is all fun and games at Shark Club.

Hard work can't possibly be fun? Or can it? Let's face it, it's a lot easier to love what you do when you're having fun doing it. At Shark Club we love what we do, so making it fun is fundamentally important. In fact, fun and laugter is so important to the culture of Shark Club that we purposely outline it as a core company value. We do, of course, take what we do at Shark Club very seriously, but not taking ouvselves too seriously is a big part of our success.

We are fast paced and action-oriented, moving quickly to seize the leading position as the market changes and new opportunities become available. And we enjoy ourselves while we’re doing it.

3. SPORTY…
